When did you start Crossfitting? In 2011

How did you hear about BattleWolf Crossfit and why did you decide to
start crossfit?

I found BattleWolf by google search. I tried every box in San Marcos and Kyle in May 2017 when I was looking for a new box. I determined that BattleWolf was the superior choice by far. I started Crossfit because I was lazy and I wanted someone else to tell me what to do when I worked out.

What are some of your goals in and outside of Crossfit?

My CrossFit goal is that when I am 80 I can still do a muscle up and a 5 min Fran! I consider it a long term goal. My short term CrossFit goal is to show up everyday and do my best on that day.

Describe your diet?

I eat fairly clean, but I don’t exclude anything really. I track my macros and I stay in the mentality that most things are ok in moderation.

What/Who motivates or inspires you?

I am motivated daily by the people who show up and work out next to me. Showing up is the
biggest challenge and watching people hit PRs, learn new skills, or just suffer through next to me, inspires me to show up and do my best everyday.

What would you tell people who are looking to start crossfit?

Don’t wait. I always hear people say “I will do CrossFit when I am in better shape” or “I will try CrossFit when I _____ (Fill in the blank with anything)”. The reality is that CrossFit never gets easier, you just get better.. so why wait to get better? Everything can be modified and
everyone can do CrossFit. If you want to make a change in your fitness or your health or whatever your reason is, CrossFit will give you a support group to help you, motivate you, and ultimately walk the journey of achieving your goals with you. So, why wait for that?

Hobbies outside of crossfit?

My kids, anything that involves water, and traveling.

Favorite Motivational Quote and why?

"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.”                       – Lance Armstrong
Life and CrossFit are full of pain at times, the trick is to remember that the pain  . This is hard to do at times, especially when you are in the middle of feeling the pain. That voice in your heard has to be positive and encouraging in order to get through the pain! And everyone knows that quitters never win and winners never quit.

Favorite Cheat Meal?

QUESO! Anything with queso!

Three must have workout songs are….

Anything loud with a fast beat. I don’t really hear the music when I am working out… I just need something to distract that part of my brain that wants me to stop!

Assault Bike or Burpees?

Assault Bike for sure!

Tell us something that people may not know about you?

I once flew half way across the world under a fake name.
