BattleWolf CrossFit is excited to announce our second annual AlphaWolf Games competition will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019. This is a co-ed partner competition with both RX and Scaled divisions available. You must be a member of the gym or get written approval from one of our owners (Weston or Quint) to compete if you do not have a recurring membership!

Early registration will run through August 10th, and be $60+tax per person. The first teams to sign up will get first priority on when they will do the floater workout. This signup fee will get you a competition shirt and the remainder of the funds will go towards prizes and upgrading equipment at the gym. Registration price will go up to $70 per person on August 11th and deadline to sign up and receive a shirt will be September 1st.

Division Requirements

RX must be able to perform the following:

Squat Snatch (135/85), Toes to bar, Chest to bar or Pull-ups (see below), Double Under, and (potentially) handstand walking ;)

Scaled divisions: this is for everyone! if you can’t perform a movement, we will modify it but you will not be able to place above other teams that do not modify.

Event 2:

This event will have two scores, one for the time of completion of the 4 rounds and one for max meters rowed during the 12 minutes. The workout is as follows:

4 Alternating Rounds for Time (1 person finishes a whole round then tags their partner to start the next round)

15 Dumbbell Thrusters (100/70)

10 Chest to Bar or Pull-ups (one person must do chest-to bar both rounds and other person may select pull-ups)

5 Devils Press (100/70)

Workout flow: at 3-2-1-go, athlete 1 will start on the 15 dumbbell thrusters. During this time, athlete 2 has the option to start on the rower if desired. Once athlete 1 finishes the entire round ending with the 5 devils press, he/she will tag partner two to start on their round of dumbbell thrusters. Once hands are tagged, partner 1 may choose to start/continue accumulating meters on the rower. This format will continue until all 4 rounds (2 each) are completed. If all 4 rounds are completed within the time cap, the time of completion will be noted as score 1. Upon completion of the 4 rounds, teams may continue on the rower to accumulate as many meters rowed as possible. You may switch who is on the rower as desired once all 4 rounds are completed. At 3-2-1-done, hands must come off the handle bar and meters, counting the rollover, will be noted for score 2.

We will be asking registrants for their partners and divisions at the beginning of September.

This is a great chance to get some competition experience and support our community and gym! If you are nervous or need help finding a partner, talk to Quint or Weston and we will help you get setup and going! If you are not a part of our private FaceBook group for members, add Weston Neiman as a friend and he will add you to the group where you can post looking for partners… or recruit your partner to the gym (must be member by August 10th or get written approval from owners).
