Kirstyn Conwell
Our October BattleWolf of the Month is Kirstyn Conwell. Kirstyn has only been with us for a little over a month, but has shown what dedication and a positive attitude can do for you. Kirstyn comes in everyday with a positive attitude and is usually bringing in one of her 18 million friends to try out crossfit. We couldn't be more proud of Kirstyn and can't wait to see where her crossfit journey takes her. Congratulations Kirstyn!!

Name: Kirstyn Conwell
Age: 19 years old
Where did you grow up?
--I was born in Harrisburg, PA. Then I moved to Florida, but I've spent most of my life in Cedar Park, Tx.
What do you do when you aren't crossfitting?
--I'm a volleyball coach for a club team and I really love that! I also like to play piano, but I'm not very good LOL.
What is your proudest crossfit moment?
--Ummmm, honestly it is probably just being able to get the courage to go and sign up and commit, because I have completely fallen in love with it.
What is your favorite crossfit movement?
--Back Squat or Deadlifts ;)
What is your least favorite movement?
--Snatch!!!!!!!!! or OHS...lol...or burpees
What would your perfect WOD look like?
--Umm this is a really hard one....no running obviously LOL...probably something with a mixture of cleans, some kind of squat that isn't overhead lol. I like farmer's carry, so those I guess, & deadlifts because I like those!!!! AND it definitely has to be an AMRAP.
What is one thing you accomplished at crossfit that you never thought you would be able to do?
--Either not being afraid of running WODs anymore lol, or just the amount of weight I can move.
What is something about you that people may not know?
--I'm an only child! Also, I haven't eaten red meat in 7.5 years. ( I was a vegetarian for 7 years.)
What is one piece of advice you would give someone who is just starting or thinking about starting crossfit?
--IT'S NOT INTIMIDATING!!!!!! Everything that you've ever heard about crossfit being scary isn't true!!! It kicks your butt, but it is SO much fun and it really does make you feel so good about yourself!!! The community is awesome and you NEVER feel judged or embarrassed. You will always have people cheering you on and it's honestly the best feeling.

--I'm still alive, but I'm barely breathing....see you tomorrow!
What are your crossfit goals?
--To not die lol, jk, but on the real, to be able to back squat 300 lbs, do a handstand pushup, do pullups, do more than 3 double unders in a row, run a mile in less than 10 minutes, and get those GAINZZZZZ!!!
What makes crossfit different than other fitness programs you have tried in the past?
--The community for sure! Crossfit is something you can go to and feel good about yourself and comfortable with what you can do without feeling like you are being judged. The WODs are always different, so you are always motivated to go and try something new!!
