When did you start crossfitting?

 I started seriously in August of this year. Before that I attended Gold’s Fit.

 

How did you hear about BattleWolf Crossfit and why did you decide to join?

I wanted to be able to work on different things like barbell lifts and rope climbs, etc, which Gold’s Fit does not incorporate. My boyfriend was already an avid crossfitter, so we decided to find one in the area.

I decided to join mostly because of the motivating coaches and friendly/team-oriented atmosphere.

 

Favorite WOD?

I’m not sure of the names.

 

Least Favorite WOD?

Anything with Snatches or the assault bike.

 

What are some of your goals in or outside of Crossfit?

I’d like to be stronger, have more definition, and gain more confidence in myself. I’m on the tail end of a 3 month cut right now and I will probably do another one in December/January.


 

Describe your diet?

I’m on the Renaissance Periodization diet (RP diet). I’ll be done with a 3 month cut in about 2 weeks and go into a maintenance phase. Even before the diet I was pretty healthy with my eating. I like RP, it’s just super strict, but at the same time, that is probably what I needed. Also, peanut butter is life, as well as my kryptonite.

 

What/Who motivates or inspires you?

In fitness/nutrition: my coaches, of course. Daniel, my boyfriend, even though he eats pizza behind my back. I also follow a lot of crossfit/health people on instagram that are realistic in their content/message. Follow @fitpinup37, she is goals. In life: My mom, she’s my rock. My brother and my best friend Tabby.

 

What would you tell people who are looking to start crossfit?

Do it!!  It’s hard and it kind of sucks sometimes, but any workout that is worth it isn’t supposed to be easy. You might be slow and feel weak in the beginning but, give it 30 days and it will totally be worth it.

 

Hobbies outside of Crossfit?

Professional concert goer, cycling, camping, reading books, thrift shopping, dog mom

 

Favorite Motivational Quote and Why?

It’s one of my favorite because I have it in my head that I’m supposed to be strong all the time. Of course, like any other human, I fall constantly and it’s frustrating. This quote is just a reminder that even though I may have my weak moments, I can brush myself off and be better than I was before.

 

Favorite Cheat Meal?

Burger and sweet potato fries with mayonnaise.
