Event 3b: 5 min to find 2RM of C&J and Snatch
Workout Flow: Event 2a starts off with one athlete performing barbell thrusters. You may split the thrusters up however you see fit, but to switch, you must tag the other athlete’s hand underneath the rig. Once all 18 thrusters are completed, both athletes will perform 9 synchro burpee box jumps. RX athletes must jump and all athletes must lockout at the top of the box. The rep will be considered synchronized when both athletes are standing tall and locked out on top of the box at the same time. Once all 9 burpee box jumps are completed, athlete of choice may return to the barbell and begin thrusters. Reps will only be counted once the other athlete is underneath the rig. At the 12 min mark, total rounds and reps will be noted and athletes will have 1 min to move both boxes to the entry door edge of their lane and load barbells, if desired. You may not perform any lifts until the boxes are in designated areas. Once the 1 min rest is complete, athletes will have 5 minutes to find the two heaviest clean and jerks or snatches, only one movement per athlete. These lifts must be the same weight to count, ie if you hit 115, 120, and 125 you do not have a score. You must hit 115, 120, 120 and your score will be 120. These reps may be singles. You must designate with your judge which athlete will be performing each lift. Only one athlete may lift at a time. Barbells must have collars on and you must state your weight before the lift to be able to count the weight. The two heaviest/same weight successful lifts for each movement will be totaled for your score.
Scaled: weight will be reduced to 75/55 and box height will be reduced to 20/16 with the option to step up if desired.
