We are officially 2 months out from the 2020 Alpha Games. Every year BWCF hosts an in-house co-ed partner competition to see who is the fittest wolves in the pack. Event 1-

“Haunted at the Beach”

20 Min for Max Reps

1 partner working, 1 partner *running 400m. Only 1 time per max rep movement per person. 

-Chest-to-Bar/Pull-Up

-Sandbag Ground to OH (93/63)

-Toes-To-Bar

-Sandbag Squat Cleans (93/63)

--- If you have time remaining, max synchro Back Rack Sandbag Lunges --- 

*If your partner is doing a non-sandbag movement, your 400m run will be with a sandbag. Partners may not switch from run to movement until physically tagging hands. Once you tag, your work at the previous station is done. 

Workout Flow: at the count of 3-2-1 go, 1 athlete will begin a 400m sandbag run. You may designate whichever athlete to run first, but must stay in the same order the entire workout. While athlete 1 is running, athlete 2 will be performing as many Chest to Bar (or pull-ups, explained in next sentence) as possible until athlete 1 returns and tags athlete 2’s hand. One athlete will be required to do Chest to bar and the other pull-ups. You may choose who does what, but must stick with that movement the entire time. Once athletes tag hands, they must continue forward with the workout. After the first tag, athlete 2 will begin the 400m sandbag run with appropriate weight. During this time, athlete 1 will be performing as many Chest to Bar (or pull-ups) as possible.  Once athlete 2 returns from the sandbag run, both athletes will tag hands and Athlete 1 will begin performing Sandbag Ground to OH while Athlete 2 does a 400m run (see below for running rules). This format will continue for 20 min or until Athlete 2 finishes the last set of Sandbag Squat Cleans. If there is still time on the clock when all max rep movements are completed, athletes will perform synchro back rack sandbag lunges (both legs count as 1 rep). Teams that get furthest in the workout will be placed higher than teams that didn’t make the same max rep section as them. I.e. team 1 made it to the second person on sandbag squat cleans and team 2 only made it to the first person on sandbag squat cleans. Regardless of how many reps were completed, Team 1 will be placed higher than team 2. For teams that end up in the same sections, the team with the highest total reps completed will be placed highest.  

Running Rules: If your partner is doing a movement that doesn’t require a sandbag, your run will be with a sandbag. If your partner is doing sandbag work, you will have a normal 400m run. If you mess this up during a sandbag run, you will not be able to switch with your partner upon tagging until you complete a 400m sandbag run. If you run with a sandbag when a normal 400m run is required there will be no penalty. THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PERFORM THIS WORK CORRECTLY. 

Scaled will perform regular 400m runs throughout and the following movements

-KB SDHP to KB Swing (35/26)

-Sandbag Ground to OH (63/25)

-KB Situp (35/26)

-Sandbag squat Cleans (63/25)
